Abstract

516,078. Warn beams. COURTAULDS, Ltd., and THOMPSON, G. June 20, 1938, No. 18267. [Classes 120 (iii) and 142. (ii)] [Also in Group XXIV] A flange or collar is adjustably secured to a warp beam or other member by means of a serrated key which engages serrations in the beam and is formed with one or more heads for taking thrust, the flange being provided with a set-screw for securing it to the key, and thereby to the beam. The warp beam shown in the Figure carries at each end a flange 2 having attached thereto a ring 4 formed with a slot engaging a serrated key 7 which engages serrations 5 in the beam and is secured by a set-screw 10. The key is formed with a head 9 for taking thrust, either directly or by means of an adjusting-screw mounted therein. In another construction, the flange fits between two heads on the key and is secured by two screws.
