[Class 2 (iii)] Thermoplastic bindings for flooring or road materials comprise a mixture of a tough synthetic resin with a natural resin or derivative thereof or a brittle synthetic resin together with a plasticizer. Suitable tough resins include vinyl resins especially a polyvinyl acetal ; brittle resins include rosin, ester gum or calcium resinate ; plasticizers include tricresyl phosphate or dibutyl phthalate.
