[Class 108 (iii)] [Also in Group XXV] Elastic ropes or cords of the kind formed from rubber or like strands are obtained by twisting, together, under tension, cut rubber threads or extruded filaments 1 and twisting together, preferably in reverse direction, three of the strands 2 so formed. The threads and/or strands may be coated with adhesive before or after twisting. The elastic rope or cord may be covered with woven fabric or with rubber threads wound with artificial silk, or with an extruded rubber tube or sheath. Strip sheet rubber may be wound on the elastic threads and be vulcanized in position.
