511,463. Moulding perforated bricks &c. GENERAL REFRACTORIES CO. Aug. 23, 1938, No. 24835. Convention date, March 10. [Class 87 (ii)] . Bricks of refractory material are perforated by being moved by a feeder 49 into a stationary mould box 30 in which work upper and lower toggle-operated plungers 23, 28 and camoperated piercers 43 adapted to pass through apertures in the plungers. The upper plunger is provided with valve-controlled openings for the escape of the material removed by the piercers. The connecting-rod 16 for operating the toggles is provided with a cam surface 116 resting on a roller 117, whereby the plungers are raised for the ejection of a mould article by an oncoming shape S.
