510,735. Centrifugal machines. SIMON, Ltd., H., and SPEIGHT, J. March 2, 1938, No. 6531. [Class 23] A centrifugal dressing machine for separating flour and meal from crushed cereal products has a sieve barrel constructed in skeleton form with longitudinal bars a and circumferential ribs c to hold them in place. The bars a may be flat, or channelled and provided with felt to receive the sieve frames d which are clamped to them. The side d<1> of each frame is of channel section so that the edge of the silk material used for the sieve or of the reinforcing material attached to it, can be passed into the channel and held by wedges e. The frame segments may form a circular or polygonal cross section. The silk covered sieve may revolve at a low speed while the internal beater system revolves at a high speed.
