Abstract
510,142. Displaying. WALSH, W. Feb. 15, 1939, No. 4953. [Class 3 (ii)] [Also in Groups XVII and XIV] An internal fitting for hollow containers adapted, e.g. to support articles for display in shops, warehouses, laboratories, museums, &c., consists of one or more shelves 5-8 supported on uprights 4 by means of nuts 10 threaded adjustably on the uprights and clamped by locking nuts 13. The uprights are mounted on a common base member 3 which is removable or is fixed to or forms part of the base of the receptacle. The apertures 9 through which the rods 4 pass are elongated and the nuts 10, 13 have lateral wings so that by rotating them the shelf may be passed along the rods. The sides of the containers may be graduated to facilitate adjustment of the shelves. Tags 15 or apertures may be provided on each shelf to facilitate removal. The containers may be of glass and mirrors may be secured on the outside to enhance the display. The locking nuts 13 may be replaced by lugs spring clipped or otherwise adjustably secured to the rods 4. These latter may be screwed into the base and may be threaded throughout their lengths ; in another form, they are integral with the base member 3. The container may be circular, square, hexagonal, octagonal or of other shape. Specification 496,931, [Group XVII], is referred to.
