[Class 7 (iii)] In an oil engine in which the air inlet and exhaust ports are controlled by a sleeve valve c, a fuel-injection nozzle is provided in the suction pipe near an inlet port. As shown, fuel is delivered through nozzles i through each of the inlet ports e<4>, e<5> in the valve c towards an igniter g, which may be arranged on one side of the cylinder axis. The valve c may have both a reciprocating and a rotary movement.
