Abstract
508,459. Lamp screens. HOLLAND ELECTRO N.V., and SCHNEIDER, F. L. G. Dec. 8, 1938, No. 35790. [Classes 75 (ii) and 75 (iv)] A number of horizontal or slightly inclined screens 11 .. 14 are arranged in the manner of louvres below the lower edge of a lamp reflector 6 and outside the cone of light rays in such a manner that for an observer who is positioned at a distance outside the cone of light rays, the upper portion of the screens will be invisible. The radial dimensions of the screens are such that the reflector opening will be visible between the screens only to an observer positioned at a great distance. The outer edges of the screens may be connected by an outer casing 8. The screens need not surround the whole of the reflector opening. Fig. 7 shows a modification in which each screen comprises two inclined walls such as 13<1>, 13<11> connected at their inner edges, the screens being connected at their outer edges.
