[Class 131] ] [Also in Group XXII] In dry shavers of the kind having two relatively moving multiple-toothed cutting members, a dished face-engaging member 50 has lateral inclined teeth 56 projecting outwardly from a central bridge 53. The toothed member 50 is formed from bar stock material 100, Fig. 10, by cutting a plurality of V.shaped grooves 101 across the top face, then removing, by milling or grinding, the upper portion of the bar to a varying depth as shown, and finally removing material from the bottom of the bar to form the bridge 53 and the sloping bottom faces of the teeth, Fig. 9. Slots 59 connect the teeth spaces at the top on both sides of the bridge 53. Legs 54 at each end of the bridge are secured in slots in a base member 10 which carries toothed guards 11 formed as shown in Fig. 3 or Fig. 7. The guards, which do not form part of the present invention, may contact with the edges Y. The reciprocating cutting-member 30 carrying teeth 36 has a slot 33 engaging the bridge 53 and a lug 32 engaging a slot 12 in the base, and it is pressed against the fixed cutter by pins carried by coiled springs which are free to bend laterally. Square or other shaped grooves 101 may be used. The co-operating teeth may be provided along one edge only of the shaver, the opposite edge being unslotted.
