[Class 66] A frying-pan &c. cover formed from a radially slit metal disc by causing the edges bordering the slit to overlap so that the disc assumes a conical form, is provided with adjustable means for maintaining it in shape, the means comprising the provision of an elongated slit 3 in one of the overlapping ends, a single opening in the other, and a screw 4 provided with a nut adapted when tightened to hold the parts against movement. In the form shown the wing-nut 4a serves also to clamp the free end of the handle 5, but a threaded knob made of heat-insulating material engaging the screw and serving also as a handle may be provided.
