Abstract
506,261. Wearing-apparel. OVIATT, J. Oct. 21, 1937, No. 28785. Convention date, Oct. 21, 1936. [Class 141] A shirt, jacket, or pyjama coat is formed with a back portion 17 cut to a width greater than that required for a garment of given size, the back portion 17 being formed with stitched tucks 22 in the lower part thereof to take up excess material in the region of the small of the wearer's back, and with further stitched tucks 23 at the upper part thereof extending over the shoulders. to take up excess material across the shoulders. The back portion 17 is joined to the front portion 15 by front seams 21. Both sets of tucks increase in frequency as they approach the medial line of the back, and the tucks 23 converge towards the centre of the back of the garment. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also forming the back of the garment from two pieces of material. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
