[Class 123 (ii)] In vertical steam or hot-water boilers hav- 'ing a laterally disposed flue outlet E from a central furnace B formed with vertical walls and a crown plate, a nest of tubes D screens the flue, and a manhole door L in the boiler shell provides access to the tubes which extend from the furnace wall below the flue to the crown plate. Baffles J may be arranged on either side of the flue, and cross tubes 6 fitted across the furnace.
