501,790. Moulding tyre-valve stems. JENKINS BROS. Sept. 2, 1937, No. 19002/38. Convention date, Sept. 30, 1936. Divided out of 501,750. [Class 87 (ii)] The rubber stem of a tyre or like valve having a metal insert 13 of the kind described in Specification 501,750 is moulded in a threepart die 42, 43, 44. The part 42 carries a pin 46 for the bore of the stem and is guided by a tubular fitting 45<1> serving to position the insert 13. A conical part 49 of the pin swages the opening in the insert and prevents entry of rubber therein.
