Abstract

501,255. Garment shields. CICHOWSKY, W. Aug. 4, 1938, No. 23119. [Class 141] A garment shield, Fig. 1, comprises a frame-like outer marginal portion 3 adapted to be secured in the armpit of a garment, and a netlike inner portion 2, each portion being formed with marginal loops 2<11>, 4, through which a removable thread 5 is adapted to be passed. In a modification, Fig. 2, the outer portion 3<1> is formed on its inner margin with a number of loop-ended elements 9 each of which is passed through an adjacent loop 10, and round the outer margin 11 of the inner portion 2<1>, the loop 10n being secured to the outer portion 3<1> by a removable thread 12. In another modification, the loop-ended elements are provided on the inner portion. In a further modification, for sleeveless garments, the shield comprises only a single wing of the above shield, the framelike outer portion being disposed also along the concave edge of the shield.
