Abstract

500,786. Boxes. WARBEY, H. S., and COOK & SON, Ltd., M. July 13, 1938, No. 20753. [Class 18] Two flaps are hinged to opposite sides of the top edge of the box and are creased on lines a-b, c-d, which divide them into sections m which will close the top of the box and portions n having- hand holes 5, 6. One portion is cut away to form a handle 4 which can be passed through a slot 7 at the base of the other portion. The invention is shown applied to a box of the type having walls which fold up around a base 10. The end walls 13-16 are in duplicate; flanges 18 thereon rest flat on the base 10 and may be held down by a separate panel 9. In a modification the invention is applied to a box of the type in which a blank is folded into a tube and the ends of the tube subsequently closed.
