Abstract
500,308. Laminated - - wood members. SCHIFF, G. Oct. 20, 1937, No. 28561. [Class 145 (ii)] Built-up boards, doors, &c. of the kind in which a framework or core 1, 1a is faced with plywood sheets 2 or other material, are provided with an end strip or portion 3 of greater width than the core, the facing sheets being correspondingly reduced in thickness at one edge 2a from the inside, and secured by cementing or otherwise to the core and the end strip. The wider strip 3 may have an inward extension 3b of the same width as the core or it may be in one with the core or connected thereto by a dovetail or similar joint. All the edges may be finished in this way. Specification 433,897 is referred to.
