Abstract

493,315. Compound sheet materials. HUMOCO CORPORATION. April 22, 1937, Nos. 11492 and 11493. Convention dates, July 21, 1936 and March 18, 1937. [Class 140] [Also in Group XVII] A container for cigarettes &c. is made from a sheet of laminated material comprising one or more layers of paper &c. 15 secured by latex, guttapercha, &c. to one or more layers of tin or aluminium foil &c. 16 which may be lacquered. A heat-plastic film 18 is utilized to form the longitudinal seam and films 17 form part of the end closures. In a modification, the foil lamina may be replaced by a thin sheet of polyvinyl resin or a film of non-hygroscopic lacquer. In a further modification, the foil layers 16 may be mounted on both sides of the paper &c. layer 15. Specification 281,174, [Class 94 (ii)], is referred to.
