492,763. High - frequency apparatus. BLACK, R. H., SPANSWICK, J. R., and ELECTRIC FURNACE CO., Ltd. April 2, 1937, No. 9431. [Class 38 (iv)] In a group of highfrequency induction furnaces supplied from a common source 2, the furnace winding 1 of one furnace is utilized as the primary winding of a transformer or autotransformer, the secondary winding or windings 4 of which is or are arranged to supply operating current to one or more other furnaces 5. Condenser batteries may be arranged as shown and the secondary winding or windings may be arranged inside or outside the primary winding formed by the furnace winding 1.
