Abstract
492,497. Double fabrics &c. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP WOLINDUSTRIE VOORHEEN J. REGOUT & CO., and REGOUT, J. W. M. H. Jan. 14, 1938, No. 1308. [Class 142 (iv)] A blanket, rug, plaid or carpet fabric comprises two surface layers the respective warp threads k<1>, k<2> of which interweave with weft threads a, b, c, but do not interchange, the layers being connected at intervals by the weft threads. as shown, which in parts are arranged in pocket like spaces between the layers. Extra filling threads may be arranged in the space between the layers, weft-wise or warp-wise or both. Some threads may be used to produce infrequently occurring parts of the pattern such as lines or spots. In a modification, the upper surface layer may comprise warp threads k<1>, k<2>. Fig. 4, interchanged between the centre and surface as shown, parts of the threads k<3> being arranged in the pocket like spaces referred to. One or more similar series of extra warp threads may be associated with the lower surface layer, the layers being interconnected in each case by wefts. The threads may be of various colours to produce patterns and 'the threads may be carded. Specification 2964/88, [Class 142], is referred to.
