[Class 72] [Also in Group XI] A hollow object the inner surface of which has been heattreated by inducing current therein by an internal inductor supplied with alternating cur. rent is quenched by jets of fluid from perforations in a tube 110 The inductor slides around tube 110 and covers it when heating is in progress. When the heat ing is finished the inductor is withdrawn and cooling fluid supplied to tube 110.
