[Class 110 (iii)] A guide blade 1 for a steam or gas turbine with a bevelled outlet edge 5 has the portion 6 of the blade adjacent the bevelled edge made rougher than the rest of the surface. The blade may be roughened on one or both sides, and the roughness may be formed by fixing raised surfaces to the blade.
