Abstract

488,305. Electric immersion heaters. BULPTTT & SONS, Ltd., and BULPITT, W. H. March 1, 1937, No. 6008. [Class 39 (iii)] A plug 6 carries a plate 8 having a deep narrow groove 9 containing the heating elements and a flange 25 adapted to overlap the vessel wall 2 around the opening in which the plug is inserted. The heater is clamped in position by a central bolt 17 or by a nut engaging the screwed exterior of the plug. A safety device as described in Specification 486,450, may be provided.
