488,234. Displaying ; signs. JANOWITZ, A. June 15, 1937, No. 16662. Convention date, June 17, 1936. [Class 3 (ii)] A display device. comprises a reflecting body having a concave reflecting surface shaped as part of a surface of rotation and terminating. at its front ends at a position in front of a vertical plane passing through the centre of rotation, and a coloured body positioned within the reflecting body and shaped as a body of rotation, said coloured body contacting with the reflecting surface solely at its vertex and extending at least to the focus of the said surface. The device may serve as a background to displayed articles, or a number of the devices may be used to build up letters, numerals or the like. In the embodiment shown, a spherical body 3 is mounted within a spherical reflector 1. In another arrangement, the body and reflector are cylindrical. The device may be made of glass and the coloured body fused to the reflector. Specification 395,379 is referred to.
