486,274. Lamps for illuminating objects to be photographed. SCHMECK, P. Aug. 28, 1937, No. 23599. Convention date, Sept. 25, 1936. [Class 75 (ii)] In a lamp for illuminating an object to be photographed, a part only of the reflector is coated with colour and adjustable means are provided so that in addition to the colour-coated portion of the reflector another uncoloured portion of the reflector can be utilized. In the form shown, the reflector 3 is provided with a central coloured coating 9 and its periphery is left uncoloured, but the reverse arrangement may be employed. The light source 5 is carried by a second smaller reflector 4 which is adjustable towards and away from the reflector 3 and may be rotated through 180‹. Alternatively, the reflector 3 may consist of two superposed and relatively rotatable parts of the same curvature, the front part having sector shaped apertures and the rear part having corresponding colour sectors.
