A screw a is formed with a head b having an undercut surface slightly less in diameter than the plain flanged surface el, and, for sealing this in position, there is provided a lead washer d, having a re-entrant head d<1>. When put in position and hammered into the recess, the lead flows into the space f, and seals the screw.
