[Class 29] Compression machines.-The height of the orifice of the pipe through which refrigerant liquid flows from the condenser or a vessel connected thereto to the regulating device of the evaporator is adjustable to regulate the quantity of refrigerant in circulation. Thus, the pipe 'i in the vessel connected to the condenser c is formed with an horizontal leg about which the pipe may be turned. In a modification, the pipe is adjustable vertically.
