[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, March 15, 1937.] Drawings to Specification. [Class 12 (i)] [Also in Group XX] In a gyro-vertical a ball rotor is arranged to spin on an air film in a part-spherical cup to the centre of which air under pressure may be supplied. In a modification the cup is replaced by an annular ring which supports the rotor on an air film provided by a series of radial air jets on the ring.
