Abstract

478,497. Trousers. POLIKOFF, A., and POLIKOFF, Ltd. Aug. 26, 1937, No. 23426. [Class 141] Adjustable trousers-supporting means comprise two pairs of co-operating strips c, g, of textile material extending throughout their length on the inside of the waistband, one end of each strip of a pair being attached to the waistband or to material secured to the inside of the waistband while the other end of such strip is free, the strips extending across the back of the waistband but no further than the hips, and the free end of one strip of a pair being provided with a hook e adapted to engage any one of a number of eyelets f secured to the other strip of the pair. The hook and eyes may be replaced by buttons and a buttonhole, by buttonholes and a button, or by press studs. The strips c are preferably of elastic material. and the strips g of inelastic material. Friction strips are secured to the inside of the waistband. In a modification, only one pair of co-operating strips is used.
