Abstract

473,751. Spades. JORDAN, F. May 3, 1937, No. 12613. [Class 6 (ii)] [Also in Groups XIV and XV] A seat-stick adapted also for use as a spade comprises a stick 10 and a flat seat member 11 pivoted to one end of the stick so as to be movable from a seat position at right-angles to the stick to a position parallel to the stick. The seat is secured to a bracket 13 which is pivoted to the stick by a pin 14, and a movable pin 16 passes through alternative pairs of holes in the bracket and through a hole in the stick to secure the seat in position. Preferably, the seat may be secured in either of two positions parallel to the stick, and holes 17 are provided in it to form a hand-grip.
