472,814. Incandescent ignition plugs. STONE & CO., Ltd., J., and NIXON, L. R. March 30, 1936, No. 2991. [Class 7 (iv)] A helical electrically-heated filament 4 is enclosed in a metallic sheath 5 with refractory powdered or cementitious insulating material filling the intervening space. Magnesium oxide or aluminium oxide with a binder may be used. One end of the helix may be nipped between the closed end of the sheath, or may be carried back to a separate insulated terminal. The sheath may either extend to the insulating cap at the outer end of the casing, or be supported on a shoulder in the threaded part.
