Abstract

470,696. Ball bearings. UNIVERSAL KUGELLAGER-FABRIK GES. April 30, 1937, No. 12337. Convention date, May 9, 1936. [Class 12 (i)] In a two-row ball bearing the outer race is divided into two parts e, e<1>, which are secured together by a soft iron screwed ring g situated in an internal recess in the races. A solder plug l prevents the two parts unscrewing. Spacing balls c<1>, c<2>, run on guide rings k, k<1> and z. The ground joint faces between the two parts may be inclined. In a modification the two rows of balls are engaged by one cage or one row of spacing balls, the solder plug being then omitted.
