Abstract

470,464. Fencing. HODGE, J. H. Feb. 12, 1936, No. 4197. [Class 45] A post for a pedestrian railing or fence consists of a bar 10 of T-section, the thickness of the table 11 and of the web 12 being sufficiently small to enable the post to be positioned between adjacent flags or kerbstones without materially increasing the space between them. The post is bent at right-angles at its lower end to form a foot 15 which takes under adjoining kerb or flag stones the vertical stretch of the bar passing between them. According to the Provisional Specification the the bar may be of flat section anc be secured to a flat plate to servt as a foot, it may taper and it, edges be beaded, and it may have a toe to bear on the upper surface of the kerb &c.
