[Class 35] A commutator has the segments set in a moulded mass in which are reinforcing rings previously covered with plastic insulation. In the form shown, segments 3 with mica 4 are arranged in annular formation and metal rings 1 with synthetic resin coatings 2 are disposed in the grooves, insulating material 6 being subsequently moulded about the parts.
