Abstract

467,520. Toy vehicles. ROUSSY, L., and TRUBERT, R. Jan. 24, 1936, No. 2303. Convention date, Jan. 24, 1935. [Class 132 (iii)] A vehicle driven by an electric motor 1 has the steering wheels urged by the spring 3 towards an insulated conducting kerb 7, contact being made therewith by the front buffer 4. A brush 2 on the vehicle makes contact with the conducting track 5, to complete the circuit through a source of current. The vehicle is provided with conducting strips 13 and an inclined rear buffer 15 to facilitate passing of another vehicle which slides along the buffer and strip. Recesses 12, Fig. 8, with a non-conducting floor &c. are provided in the track to facilitate passing of vehicles. Two kerbs 6, 7 can be provided and the track may be formed of sections connected at 9, Fig. 4. In order to facilitate travelling over a crossing, the brush 2 or buffer 4 carries an insulated projection 11, Fig. 3, which drops into a slit 10, Fig. 6, at the crossing to guide the vehicle. In the construction shown in Fig. 9, the front buffer is not used as a contact brush and two brushes 2 and 4 are provided on the chassis for engaging with insulated bands 19, 20 and 21 on the track, the bands 19 and 21 being connected to the same pole of the source of current.
