Abstract
464,467. Carbon papers. DOUGLAS, W. Oct. 16, 1935, No. 199/37. Divided out of 464,407, [Group XVI]. [Class 16] A set of superposed carbon sheets b secured to a backing-sheet a, adapted to pass between the cylindrical platen and pressure rollers of a typewriter, has some of the sheets secured to the backing only at one lateral border and the remainder secured thereto only at the other lateral border, and a transverse margin a<1> of the backing is folded or adapted to be folded over the carbon sheets. As shown, the sheets b are directly attached to the backing a by means of adhesive tape c placed over and extending to the surface of the backing through holes b<1> in the sheets b, but other means, such as press-studs or spring clips, may be used. Further, the sheets b may be secured to uncarbonized sheets of paper which are secured to the backing. Separate and fanfolded record sheets d may be used with the set of carbon sheets.
