Abstract

464,449. Centrifugal fans. KEITH & BLACKMAN CO., Ltd., J., and WOODLEY, D. S. Nov. 22, 1935, Nos. 32382/35 and 34034/36. [Class 110 (i)] An unpeller blade for a centrifugal fan tapers in width from rear edge 3 to front edge 6, is set oblique to the axis of rotation with its outer edge extremities on a line parallel to the axis of rotation, and is concave from front to rear and convex from inner edge 9 to outer edge 10 forming an anticlastic surface over its entire effective area. The heights of the arcs of the inner and outer edges are equal and about onetwelfth of the chord at the inner edge. The rear edges are fixed to a back plate by flanges 5 and the front edges to a shroud ring by flanges 7.
