463,638. Multiple-way valves. JOHNSTON, G. W. P. Oct. 2, 1935, No. 27208. [Class 135] [Also in Group XXV] A valve for controlling the supply'of air at high pressure and at atmospheric pressure to a door-operating cylinder comprises a housing a, formed with a valve seating k having an exhaust port or ports and ports i communicating with the ends of the cylinder, a detachable cap b (shown screwed) on the housing, a compressed air supply h communicating with the interior of the cap b, and a rotary valve member d, carried on a spindle c, adapted to connect either end of the cylinder to the compressed air supply and the other to exhaust, or both ends to exhaust to allow manual operation of the door. The spindle c is operated by a hand lever which works between adjustable stops r on the housing a. The valve member d has a through port which can be brought into register with either of the ports i and a recess or passage adapted to connect either or both of the ports i with the ports l. An additional port may be provided between the ports i for the control of an auxiliary cylinder, such as for a sliding roof.
