[Class 38 (ii)] An arrangement for on-load tap-changing comprises tapping switches x, y connected to fixed contacts cl, c2, a two armed switch d connected to the line g being operable to make contact with c1 and c2 in turn. The switch d is connected to the contacts c1 and c2 through resistances f1, f2, the value of each of which decreases with increasing applied voltage so that interruption of the connection between the winding a and the line g during tap changing is prevented.
