Abstract

461,983. Valve generating circuits. MERDLER, L. R., and BAIRD TELEVISION, Ltd. Aug. 27, 1935, No..23957. [Class 40 (v)] In a valve oscillator of the Colpitts type, particularly intended for superheterodyne radio receivers, one end of the coil 1 of the tuned circuit is connected by a pre-set condenser 6 to the cathode, and the variable tuning condenser 4 is connected between the cathode and the other end of the coil 1. A further pre-set condenser 11 may be connected across the coil 1. The condenser 4 may be one element of a ganged tuning condenser serving to control a joint television and sound receiver.
