Abstract

459,263. Anodic coating of aluminium and its alloys. SCHERING - KAHLBAUM AKT.-GES., 170, Mullerstrasse, Berlin. April 27, 1936, No. 11966. Convention date, April 25, 1936. [Class 41] Baths comprising acid solutions of pertungstic acid or permolybdic acid are employed. These acids are obtained by the action of hydrogen peroxide or tungstic and molybdic acids. The baths may contain in addition sulphuric acid or sodium sulphate and an organic polybasic acid such as citric acid. Direct or alternating current or superimposed A.C. and D.C. may be employed. The coatings may be subsequently coloured or impregnated by treatment with boiling water, steam, or a chromate solution.
