Abstract
458,914. Respiratory appliances. DRAGER, O. H., L³beck, Germany. Aug. 7, 1936, No. 21846. Convention date, Aug. 7, 1935. [Class 81 (ii)] In respiratory appliances comprising an oxygen-supply valve e connected by a lever to a breathing bag n, the lever is in two parts a, c hingedly connected at g, the part c having an extension b acting as a stop. The part a has a fork p engaging a button o on the bag and the part c a rearward extension c<1>, pressure on which by a manually-operated rod i opens the valve e independently of the bag action. The rod i slides in guides q, q<1> on the valve casing, has a terminal roller r, and a spring between the guide q<1> and a terminal knob. A set-screw on guide q, engaging a groove in the rod, prevents rotation thereof.
