Abstract

458,363. Wire gauze &c. EASTWOODNEALLEY CORPORATION, Joralemon Street, Belleville, New Jersey, U.S.A. June 14, 1935, No. 17146. Convention date, June 22, 1934. [Class 142 (iv)] Wire belting for paper - making machines is woven from flat ribbonlike warp wires 10 and circular section weft wires 11, the weft and warp knuckles being substantially coplanar. The wires 10 may be of rolled or drawn bronze À012" wide and À004" thick, or of stainless steel, and the wires 11 of brass À009" diameter, or of bronze or brass, the weft being less crimped than the warp. The edges of the warp wires are rounded. The weft knuckles are flattened by being crimped over the flat surfaces of the warp. There may be more weft wires per inch than warp wires.
