[Class 44] A fastening for a box comprises a plate 3 pivoted on a pin 2 and having a member 20 of U-shaped cross-section for engaging a notched pin 9 on the lid. A lever 21 pivoted to the lock plate has a projection 23 engaging within the member 20 and a handle 24 projecting outside the casing for releasing the catch. Alternatively the releasing lever may be rigidly mounted on a second U-shaped part 7 on the plate 3.
