457,375. Kinematograph and photographic apparatus. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. May 13, 1936, No. 13580. Convention date, Sept. 21, 1935. [Classes 97 (i) and 98 (i)] A device for connecting a Bowden wire control to cameras comprises a detachable bridge member 4 of sheet metal with a guide rod 8 mounted therein and supporting a slide collar 9 which has a metal plate 11 attached thereto and adapted to engage a control knob of the camera; e.g. the shutter control. One end of the bridge is curved at 5 and the other end riveted at 6 to a leaf spring 7 so that it can clip under a roll-like frame 3 on the side of the camera. The metal plate 11 of the slide has an extension 12 lying parallel to the axis of the collar 9, to engage the control knob, and an extension 13 extending through a guide slot 14 for manual actuation. A spring 10 opposes actuation of the slide. The wire cable control 16 is screwed into a threaded bush 17 on the bridge member 4 and its plunger engages the plate 11. The bridge member can be clipped on in two positions to actuate the control knob in opposite directions, the latter controlling the shutter, feeding speed or picture frequency of photographic or kinematographic cameras.
