Abstract

456,290. Foot - supports. FREI & KASSER AKT.-GES., 83, Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich, Switzerland. July 29, 1935, No. 21509. Convention date, July 28, 1934. [Class 17 (ii)] A foot-support which is fixed beneath the sock of a shoe is of non-metallic material and comprises a main portion extending the whole width of the shoe from the balls of the toes to the front of the heel, of tapered cross-section from one side towards the other and curved to conform with the sole of the foot, and having a prolongation from one side extending to the back of the heel. The support 1 tapers from side 2 to side 5 and the prolongation 1a is shown tapered in reverse direction. The side 2 may, however, be prolonged, the prolongation then tapering in the same direction. The support may be cut away at 3 to accommodate the big toe. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also a support having recesses 7, 8, Fig. 3 (Cancelled), for the big and little toes and curved upwardly at the inner or both sides. Fig. 5 (Cancelled) shows a support tapering towards the front 9 and carrying a metatarsal support 10 which may, however, be integral with the main support. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
