Abstract

456,096. Pneumatic guns. CESKA ZBROJOVKA AKCIOVA SPOLECNOST V PRAZE, Strakonice, Czecho Slovakia. Feb. ,10, 1936, No. 4043. Convention date, Feb. 12, 1935. [Class 119] Relates to repeating air guns of the kind having a piston adapted to be cocked by hand behind a fixed barrel. According to the invention, a projectile loading hollow plunger 1 is arranged in combination with the piston 2 connected by a link 6 to a cocking lever 3, 11 so that the plunger performs a short stroke independent of the piston to allow a projectile to drop from a magazine 8 into the barrel chamber. When the piston is pulled back by the link 6 and the cocking lever and brought into engagement with a sear 5, another link 4 connecting the cocking lever to the plunger gives a short backward stroke to the plunger to allow the projectile to fall into the barrel chamber ; and when the cocking lever is returned forward, the piston remains cocked but the plunger returns forward, and a tubular extension b thereon pushes the projectile into the barrel. The cocking lever has a handle part 3 pivoted to a lower part 11 enabling the handle to be swung down laterally to lock the lever in the forward position. A spring catch serves to hold the handle in either position relatively to the lower part 11. The magazine is provided with a hinged cover 9.
