Abstract

455,765. Locating conductors. COMPAGNIE GENERALE DE TELEGRAPHIE SANS FIL, 79, Boulevard Haussmann, Paris. April 15, 1936, No. 10891. Convention date, April 20, 1935. [Class 37] Relates to a known method of locating a hidden or buried conductor by mounting a short-wave radio transmitter E, Fig. 3, on the same axis V as a receiver R, and rotating the arrangement so that the exploring beam sweeps out a plane in the area containing the conductor. A similar combination may be mounted at the other end of the base-line. According to the invention the axis V is slowly rotated until a reflected signal is received by R, whereupon a relay H, Fig. 4, is automatically operated to stop the drive. By opening a switch I, the drive is restored.
