455,562. Portable huts. PROCTER, J. W., 95, Heaton Road, and CRAWFORD, C. R., Derlwyn, Kenton Avenue, both in Newcastle-on-Tyne, and CRAWFORD, H. J., Redcourt, Benton Park Road, Longbenton, Northumberland. May 7, 1935, No. 13452. [Class 20 (i)] The roof 1, sides 5, 6, and ends 2, 3, of a portable hut are formed as separate units, each consisting of longitudinally hinged members so that they can be folded when the hut is disassembled and means, such as eyes are provided along the edges of the sides and ends to receive bolts for the interconnection of the parts upon assembly. In the construction shown, a longitudinally hinged floor 12 is also provided. The various members consist of lath or tubular frames covered with a light material such as canvas, fibre, plywood, or composition board. A hinged door 4 is provided at one end of the hut, and the upper half frames of the two sides may form outwardly swinging windows 5a. The lower frames of the sides carry hinged frames 7, 8, having canvas covers to form beds or mattresses, these frames having hinged legs 7a, 8a, for supporting purposes. The roof members are provided with one or more struts 9 so that one or both sides may be raised in the manner shown. A table top 10 is detachably secured by eyes and hooks either to the end 2 inside the hut, as shown, or to the outside of any of the members so that it is placed in the open.
