Abstract

454,073. Moulding pulp. SKOLDKVIST, H. N., Rundviksverken, Sweden. March 3, 1936, No. 6473. [Class 87 (ii)] In a press for forming fibrous material into boards having a number of relatively movable platens 1 arranged one above the other and heated by steam and a movable wire screen 4 for introducing material between the platens, at least one of each pair of co-operating platens is provided with a detachable patterning plate 3 having projections or depressions to pattern the finished board. The plates 3 are supported by guide members 2. The wire screen may be endless, as shown, or may be a single length wound on rollers. Longitudinal grooves may be formed on the boards which are afterwards divided along the grooves to produce boards with bevelled edges.
