[Class 31 (i)] [See also Groups XVII and XVI] A web 17 is fed by rolls 24, 25 to pass between scoring rolls 19, 20, 21, and then through guides 26, 27 to the cutting mechanism 28 consisting of blades 29, 30 mounted on a carriage 31 which is pivoted at 32 and oscillated by a cam 33. The blade 30 is reciprocated with regard to the carriage by a cam 34 the arrangement being that the blades effect severance of the material when moving substantially at the same speed. A' carrier 35 receives the severed piece and lowers it edgewise on to the bed 38. Specification 275,705, [Class 94 (i)], is referred to.
